Iphone Users, Try This New Feature in Google Maps.
I wonder if my fellow Iphone users can confirm that Google Maps (and Apple Carplay) now works with our HUD! I saw this as a rumor on Reddit the other day, and I wasn't able to get it to work, but today it worked! I had originally thought the Reddit post involved unknowingly using Apple Maps or Lexus Nav while running Google Maps, but today I;m fairly positive its Google Maps working with my Lexus 350 NXh HUD. I look forward to other's confirming this.

It worked for me today! I thought my car was glitching because I did end up using Apple Maps (which I never use) this morning to navigate to the nearest Dunkin’ from the CarPlay app. When I went to use Google Maps later in the day, the turn by turn directions were still showing on my HUD. I thought my Apple Maps was still navigating in the background, but I eventually put two and two together when the HUD showed up again after I’d gotten back in the car from my doctor’s appointment. It was a bit glitchy (the HUD directions stopped showing for a bit in the middle of my route), but otherwise worked pretty good. This is great news that it’s legitimate!
