Default Plastic grommets found

I found a couple round black plastic grommets in my glove compartment soon after I bought my NX in August, approximately 2” diameter.
Any ideas what they are for ?

That means the dealer didn't complete their PDI properly and missed items.

On their check list the technician actually probably check marked that they did it.

I had that on mine and I was worried that if they just went and checked items off, what else didn't they do?

Yea, the body plugs are supposed to be installed during the pre-delivery inspection underneath the vehicle. I don't recall exactly where they go on the NX (mine were done when I got mine), but if you are comfortable getting underneath your car they should be relatively easy to pop in if going back to the dealer is too much PITA.

Please let me know where they go, I don't mind looking for the location underneath my NX. Photo would be great !

These are body plugs that MUST be installed when the car is prepped by the dealer for delivery. They prevent future rusty frame components down the road! I would go back to your purchase dealer and get them to install for free plus ask them to look for what else the technician may have left out when doing his PDI.

See video here starting at 9:25 :

Ask the dealer to provide the PDI sheet.

These do indeed go into the holes where the NX is towed from. They're very accessible and all you need is a flash light to see where you plug them in.

You should be able to find them about a 10 inches ahead of your rear wheels underneath your car on each side

I looked this morning , I found that those oblong body plugs (photo post #6) are installed.
Two in the frame behind the front wheels and two in front of the rear wheels, I also saw that a few round body plugs were installed. “Relieved”
I wonder why that the pack of two body plugs were left in the glove compartment. Spares? Gift?

Similar to when I took delivery on my LC500. They forgot to install the body plugs. They were also in the glove box. However this was back in 2018 when they actually had inventory and cars were in the lot and you did not have to put a deposit on a car that was coming from the port.

Call me paranoid ( OK , I heard that ) Although I did report here finding body plugs in my NX -
I would feel sure if you guys would varify for me that the body plugs I photo'd (attached) are all that my NX needs.
Your knowledgeable words or photos please !

I would say with almost certainty that the NX only requires 2 body plugs so the ones you have located on your car that were already installed would be all you need. My reasoning is based on the Car Care Nut video I posted in my earlier post #8. I went through it again, and while he is talking about a Rav 4 in video, I don't think there is any significant difference on a NX unibody chasis, and he specifically mentions 2 plugs, he never says 'some will have 4 or 6' so 2 it is. He also mentions that the Rav 4 came with them installed and they are made at the same factory as NX in Cambridge Ontario Canada.

You can always call up your delivery dealership and ask them. I'm pretty sure they will know the answer once you speak to someone who is familiar with them, maybe even the parts department might know too.
