Issue Downloading Digital Key
Holly hades. I just spent over two hours resetting up my digital key. I really hope they ship out the new key soon as this weekly exercise is getting very old. I uninstalled the app, sent a new digital key invite, spent the next two hours downloading the digital key over and over and over and over did I say over? Once it finally downloaded I attempted to connect to the vehicle and key getting a bluetooth connection error. So naturally I removed the app again and tried again and once it finally downloaded it connected just fine. This whack-a-mole software really needs to be fixed or removed.
Quick question: did you log in using your cell phone number instead of email? I saw from another post that the cell phone number as a log-in name is much more reliable than email. When I switched from email to phone number login, I got the digital key downloaded successfully.
No problem whatsoever downloading the digital key, but as I park in an underground garage, my phone's connection to the internet can be problematic which renders the digital key unreliable....
Just something to consider when you park your car while relying on your digital key without your fob.

This seems like such a waste of technology and added cost to our vehicles, not to mention terribly frustrating!! This features performs like a magician now you have it oh and now you don't!
I don't trust it and will not ever set it up, full stop. It's a useless toy.
Key fobs work almost 100% of the time providing they have a good battery, and your car will tell you when the battery is weak so no surprises.
I use the app on occasion but never rely on anything to open or lock my car but the key fob. They've been around for a very long time and I now use a faraday pouch to protect it's signal from being hijacked.

I do use the APP to check the status - one time I left parking lot (taking the shuttle from there to the airport) - the APP gave me a warning - the trunk door was not closed. I left in a rush by pushing the trunk close and lock button. Apparently it did not work that time. I had to ask the driver to drive back. Luckily at that time I was the only passenger on the shuttle...
Not sure if the remote status check needs the digital key or not?
When it was working I was playing about the "remote lock" etc. function but in that particular case, it did not work. So it is a little useless.
Next time I will make sure the car is locked before I leave the car. The digital key does not work when there is no cellular signal -- I will always carry a FOB then.... anyway.
I did not buy the digital key. Somehow it came along in a package (dealer selected)... Duh.

Had this exact same problems with my parents recently purchased 2024 RX350h. Got them new iPhones to replace their old iPhone 8's but was still unable to download the Digital Key. The following solution worked for us to get the Digital Key to download onto their phones. Found this posted on the /r/Lexus subreddit:

if all the tips in this discussion fails: (for iPhones) make sure face ID is enabled for the Lexus app. You can turn it on via iPhone settings and scrolling down to the Lexus app to enable it. Then, go to the Lexus app, top right corner for profile settings --> account --> security settings --> enable face ID. It was a tip I got from the Lexus Dealer Hotline for Lexus associates. It worked for me. Hope this helps
Very Weird this would be the glitch, but after enabling FaceID within the Lexus App, Digital Key downloaded and paired without issue.
Hope this helps others struggling with this glitch.
