Talking First World problem.... New Rubberized Floor mats dilemma

Yeah, like this is a real problem. I just installed my OEM Lexus rubberized floor mats and now I have extra Lexus carpeted OEM mats.... so what does one do w them now?
I keep my cars 10-15 years..... what does one do w the carpeted mats. Do I mount them on a wall in my Man Cave? Do I trash them? Do I now put them in a time capsule to be opened when my vehicle is sold?
Do I need more crap in my garage to be stored and left for some offspring to ask...."Why did he keep these" and trash them after my demise?
Just asking what you did with your "extra" mats?

As an aside , the OEM Cargo rubberized mat does NOT cover the backs of the rear seats.....did you find some kind of material to cover the rear seat backs when you are hauling stuff to protect the carpeted back.
So, yes, this is not a very important post, just running it by you all...
And, Have a good evening.

I always donate those carpet mats to our local Humane Society which sells them in its recycled goods store.

I usually sell the OEM carpet on Nextdoor since there is always someone needing a mat or 2.

I put them in my garden area, where I need to step in between plants where I don't want weeds growing. I already have mats from my now gone 2004 Sienna and 2007 Camry out there. The Lexus ones are stored inside for now, but I imagine one day they'll find a cherished home of memories beside my hostas.

I switch back and forth from carpet in summer and rubber in winter, so there is always a set lying in my garage.

I put my rubber mat in the hatch, but the rest of them are still in their box in my basement somewhere - I had no real desire for the mats, but the dealer gave them to me anyway.

Default I keep them

When I used to live in the city, I loved the carpet mats in the summer, I liked the feel of them, more plush than the rubber ones. Then I’d switch them in winter to protect the floor better.

Now that I live in the country, I find the carpet mats a chore to keep clean.

my advise is to keep them, your situation might change in the next 15 years. The next owner might appreciate them too.
