Today's question... atomic vs cloudburst vs grecian
 

My wife and I are torn between Atomic Silver, Cloudburst grey and Grecian Water for the NX.
(I have Atomic Silver on my IS and so am very familiar with that color).
Cloudburst would be the 'safe' choice... not sure it's the best shade of grey I've ever seen.
And Grecian Water is unique, bright, stands-out in the crowd...

For those that got Grecian Water or considered it, what do you think?
And do you think the rarity is due to the fact that people don't want it, or does Lexus want to keep it rare?

We have grecian water. When we made our decision, we were deciding between the Black and Grecian water. Our point is, Black is so boring, how about we go for something special, unique, and young color this time. And we love it. Like you said, it stands out on the road and in a parking lot. My kids can find our car easily. We've seen some black on the road. To be honest, black is also not bad!!!

I would have liked if my Grecian came with a different interior colour option than black, but so be it. I was tempted by the Atomic Silver to get the red interior, but the Grecian was available and I loved that colour so I took it.

Not sure about your area, but around here 90% of the cars (and no exaggeration!) on the road are part of the 50 shades of grey collection. White, off-white, light grey, middle grey, dark grey, light silver, sparkly silver, dark silver, light beige, medium beige, light black, medium black, dark black, darker black, two tone black on black, LOL, you get the idea. Don't get me wrong, a lot of those 50 shades look really nice on their own, but they quickly blend in with the parking lot crowd quite fast. Coming out of the Walmart or Home Depot, for a minute I always think I've lost my colour vision, the parking lot looks like a B&W photo but then nope, I see my car 4 rows over and 50 cars up clear as day. My RX hybrid was Aurora white which was, yea, another one of the shades, but at least it had a blue tinge that made it stand out somewhat. I also spent a lot of time in a bright orange Crosstrek, now that really stood out.

Atomic silver with palomino (tan) interior. That's what I have an am enjoying it. First silverish colour we've owned since 2015. Yes it's popular, but for a reason. The way the colour changes with the light bouncing off is really amazing. They discontinued it for the RX this year, so it'll be unique on our NXs.

I prefer the palomino over red interior as there is a lot less black inside with the tan VS the red. Ours is lighter inside, which I prefer.

Don't sweat having 2 the same colour, we had 2 white cars for a while.

Given those 3 color choices, I'd go with Grecian Water. In terms of rarity, surprisingly, I've seen Grecian Water more than Cloudburst. Atomic Silver continues to be the color I see the most.

That said, get what you will enjoy seeing and driving. I smile every time I get in my Eminent White Pearl with Rioja Red interior. It was the only NX color combo that truly spoke to me. Yet, it's white... and many cars on the road are white. Should I have bought it? Oh no, what will the neighbors think or the people who will see my car for all of a few moments in a parking lot or at a stoplight (if they aren't eyes deep into their cell phones, of course)? Goodness gracious. mercy me... meh, if I tried to figure out why others don't want what I like or prefer something different, I could have talked myself out of my own enjoyment.

Get what YOU will enjoy.

Grecian water too loud for me but if torn - maybe consider Nori Green? I’m surprised it’s not more popular as it looks great on the NX

Cloudburst on my wife's 24 350h, much nicer than Nebula Greg. Atomic on my 17 ES350. Wife wants nothing else except cloudburst, so it is easy choice since the 350h is her primary vehicle.

Cloudburst was my first choice. But my last 6 luxury rides had sone version of it. But getting one with red nuluxe was difficult. So I added Atomic Silver as an option. Ended with AS and really like it. Premier package with Rioja Red interior. Very nice look with AS. A nice change for me and wife loves the color. Would definitely buy again.

Yes, green would actually be my first choice, but my wife doesn't like the green... and it'll be her car primarily.

It depends on how urgent you are looking at getting the car. Expect to wait much longer if you pick Grecian Water. They aren't making that many of them.

If you want to stand out in the crowd go with Redline :-). We never have a problem finding ours in the car park.

Atomic and the Rioja red interior. what I dont like is the 20 inch rims on the Ultra Luxury. Just butt ugly,,,They are going sooner than later.

I have the Grecian Water with Palomino interior and it's certainly a head turner anywhere I go. Also, very true about spying you're car from a Mike away when you walk into the parking lot.

I do think it is quite rare though... I've had mine a year now and only seen Grecian Water twice.

This is a rare combination that Lexus Canada isn't producing too many of for whatever reason. We've been waiting for a Red on Silver Luxury NX350H forever now in Ontario.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those colors. I ended up with black because of availability (and my impatience), but I hadn't considered silver. The other day I saw a silver NX and it looked good! Definitely not just a plain shiny gray color. It has some depth to it that I wasn't expecting to see.
