I'm researching on AAAD and it seems like most comments on the internet mentioned it stopped working after the latest update.
I just pickup my car a few days ago and I assumed Android Auto will be the most updated version. Does anybody have luck on AAAD?

Your title is confusing as hell and your comment doesn't make things any clearer. WTH is AAAD and what does it have to do with Apple Carplay?

If you read carefully, I didn't mention Apple CarPlay. It is for Android CarPlay which is for android user.

It is an app that can hack android carplay without rooting the phone. I just pick up my car last week and realized it may not work anymore after the latest update on Andriod carplay; and hoping someone may have a solution for it.

No but I know someone with the same car as you, I can ask although they are not tech savvy. You probably just need to wait until things are sorted out via updates.

My understanding is that AAAD was using an unsupported method to make non-AA apps look like AA apps, and that Google has eliminated the ability to do this. Obviously, they don't want (the liability of) people watching YouTube videos on the main screen while driving. So unless the developer can come up with another trick, I'm thinking newer versions of AA are going to make AAAD unusable.

Finally, don't mean to nitpick, but just for sake of clarity, Apple CarPlay is Apple CarPlay. Android Auto is, well, Android Auto. I think that's why the other poster was confused by title. There is no Android CarPlay just as there is no Apple Auto.

 

Damn!! Yeah... it's a mirrored app that trick android car play to allow video streaming. If it's going to be a forever thing, I guess I will go old school and hook ipad at the back for my kid during road trips.

 

Android Carplay? Carplay is an Apple proprietary name. Just the fact that it's on an Android app looks sketchy. I wouldn't want that app anywhere near my phone. Hope you find your answers. Good luck.
