I drive an NX450H+ FSport with about 50,000km on the clock and three services carried out on time. I had front and rear screen heating on this morning for a while as it was cold to keep the screens clear, normally this means running on the petrol engine only. When I switched them off the message below popped up on my dash and the electric drive stayed off until I reached work (except to add extra power when accelerating according to my power icon). Never seen it before but the handbook only has quite an ambiguous statement "EV driving may be cancelled in order to protect the hybrid system, etc. In this case, perform driving with the gasoline engine until EV driving will be returned to automatically." Any thoughts as to what this actually is?

I don't use the EV during the coldest months because I don't have a place to plug in where I live. I charged in Feb one day when it was below freezing. I had the EV clean message and was unable to use the full traction battery. After 4 weeks of waiting for temperatures to get back to close to freezing again (last Tuesday) I drove out of the city and finally the message was cleared and I was able to drive on EV only. There is one line on this warning message in the manual. I waited and eventually the warning message subsided.
I would normally refill when the gauge is at about 1/4, when this happened it was about 3/8. Last fill was weekend before last (around 28th January) will most likely fill up on the way home as have a lot of driving to do in the next few days.

I normally run on EV everyday, I have about a 60km commute so discharge the battery on each leg and recharge at work and at home. At its best I can get about 1,500km out of a tank (circa 35ltr) of petrol.
