Default tires

last set of tires I have bought were some pirelli p7 for my old is250 and I thought they were excellent after replacing expensive michelins which 2 of 4 bulged/blew out. wont buy michelins again. I did a search on tirerack and it seems the oem tires by yokahama are most expensive replacements....$260 a piece. the pirellis 160/piece...my good news is that oem yokohamas have maybe 50% tread life left at 40k miles. so might buy them again. any thoughts on replacement tires for awd nx's?

NX200t-AWD - I replaced OEM Michelins with Pirelli P7 and happy with replacement. I used Pirelli-s before and like them. However, I have to say that OEM Michelin-s and P7 are very close in performance. Perhaps P7 a bit quieter.

Default Vredestein Quatrac

I just got some Vredestein Quatracs (TireRack) for $135 each. I have about 500 miles on them. So far, they seem to add a level of luxury that the stock tires did not....feels smoother and quieter. Very
happy thus far. Plus, snow performance for an all season tire seems very good (I'm in CO so that's necessary).

I still have my nokian winter tires from my old lexus in alaska. I probably should run them till I burn the treads off...maybe 1 year of free tire use lol. I live in city now down southwest usa....dont see myself ever using nokians again due to snow....

I havent heard much on oem yokahamas....they 270 a piece which is more than my 35inch nitto terra grappler off road tires....whats so special about the yokohamas? they seem to me to have horrible road noise for 270 a piece....

I just re-read your original post....I'm impressed with the mileage you got out of the Yoke's....I only got about 25K out of the OEMs.

the car basically drives a mile to hwy, goes 15miles, gets off hwy and 2 miles to work....rinse repeat. takes on avg 45min each way. so its easy driving imo.
