Default Lexus Grad Incentive Question

Hello,

I am curious if I qualify for the Lexus graduate incentive. I have read the fine print, and it looks like I qualify. A local dealer said I had to be graduating. I'm just taking graduate classes, and I have a transcript that verifies this. Pics attached. What are everyone's thoughts? Any experience with this?

You can easily negotiate down $1000 even if you do not qualify. However you will know dealer used that incentive when they agree to your offer price if they ask you proof for applying that incentive while doing the paperwork. It is in their interest to use and apply that incentive. If you do not like haggling try the costco auto buying program route and then ask for that grad incentive. (assuming you a costco member). Heard good reviews about Arlington heights Lexus. they are the biggest lexus dealer in the world i think. Check there first..My guess is they are not taking you seriously due to .. new grad and buying a lexus ..seriously ?? You got it..

But is this enough evidence to justify getting the $1000? I would wait until after we agree on a price to ask for this. So they don't include it in their offer.

It's a Lexus incentive, not a dealer one...pretty well doesn't cost anything for the dealer to give it to you, so it should be in and above whatever they're willing to do.

I sent this to the dealer, they said I needed to do an online credit application and they would send the transcript to Lexus for approval. He then said "sometimes they call colleges" like to assume I'm being dishonest?

Very strange, like they're trying to find any way possible to not give this to me.
