Default Lexus enform

We live in the coastal hills in Northern California, in the SF Bay Area. I drive about 40-50 miles a week. I don't need, nor did I want the enform in my car. I know where I'm going, and for $300/year or what ever will be charged for this service it's something that won't be used. As with satellite radio, any satellite service cuts out half the time while I'm driving in our hills, and the trees.. What I don't know, is the navigation system part of this service, or will that go away in 6 months after the free trial expires(I have had the f-sport for 6 months)? I do use the navigation and would be unhappy to see that go away. And just curious, what you all think of the Lexus enform?

I think you might be a bit confused, or maybe I'm confused about what you are asking...

If you added the navigation package, then navigation maps and guidance will remain on your car.
Regarding Enform services, such as Safety Assist (SOS button), Destination Assist (live operator to input addresses), and Remote (check status, lock/unlock, start car through app and key fob), offer a 1-year free trial. Once it expires, you have the option of signing on to a plan or just letting it become deactivated. Enform App Suite remains free whether you have an active paid subscription or not. You can find and send addresses to your car from the app.

I wasn't sure if the navigation was part of Enform....thank you for clarifying. I purchased a vehicle off the lot with what it had on it. So the navigation was there already...I don't believe I had the option not to have it. They all had it on the lot.

The remote start would be convenient, however the car shuts off once you get in... what's the point? Security feature? I still don't get it.

Considerably cools down/warms up the car 10 minutes before you get in.

Is the Enform trial only for new purchases? I can't seem to find an answer after searching.

In our case, we purchased the NX as a dealer demo. 6 months after purchase, it expired but we could renew it. We chose not to. We did call and inquire about the year we were supposed to get, they said that it goes one year from activation, which the dealer did on the demo. If you buy a used NX that had not been activated, you might get one year, but if the enform was activated by the first owner, one year free is all they give.

Defeats the purpose of remote start if I have to get in and start it up again manually. No matter if it cools the car or warms the car before I get in.

But once you restart the car, the air blown out will cooled (for hot days) or warmed (for cold days), so there wouldn't be a wait for the car to get to a comfortable climate.
