As I have a 2nd car, and retired, I've really not driven my new NX in the snow and slush. I've been heating my garage and waxing door jambs, under the hood, and etc. I've also been setting up the phone, navigation, and other features. You'll see...there is just so much to learn. There are just so many changes in the electronics since my 2010 RX, plus it's a hybrid to read up on.
Next to have done...the clear bra.

Sounds like fun, especially since you have free time to really detail the vehicle and can take your time to properly learn the systems. You should be all set to roll that nice MRM NX as soon as better weather hits the Buckeye state!!
Are you having the bra done at the dealership or aftermarket?

I bypass the middleman and go direct to a guy that does it for the local dealers.
This will be the 4th car he's done for me. I've been holding back contacting him thinking he may not have the pattern yet.
He downloads it from a web site and a machine cuts it via the computer.

Default Why so long?

Hi everyone, newbie here to this great forum.

I recently ordered an F Sport on January 9, and wondered how long it takes for the dealer to get a respond fron Lexus to whether it can be made and with all the other info? My salesman just said that they're still waiting for Lexus to response. It's just strange to me that it's been 3 weeks, and no response has been made. What's going on? Does it take that long? Is the dealer pulling a "wait and see" what allocation they're getting?

I'm just so anxious to get my baby!

I was told if the order goes in before the 15th of the month it is included in that month's orders. After the 15th it goes into the next months orders. Don't know if its true or not but that is the way it was explained to me.

Hi All,
New kid on the block. I want to figure out how much advance money to pay for special order? I am also getting 12-16 week lead time.
I just agree to purchase NX200t-AWD with
Factory installed options:
1) PM – Premium Pkg (requires EC).
2) PS – Pre-collision system.
3) OQ – Outer mirror memory with reverse-tilt & BSM.
4) EC – EC mirror with compass & home link.
Dealer installed options / Post Production Options (PPO):
1) All weather mats.
2) Mud guards.

$42,800 out of the door. Northen NJ.
Do we need to pay any advance for special order?

Thanks,

I had to put down $1000 on my order, on two different occasion with two different dealers. So I assum that's the standard.

I agree with you! The standard N.A. nose is ugly. I was very excited when the NX was first announced that a hybrid FSport would be available. Very disappointing that it is not available in the US. I was also looking forward to the panoramic roof and head up display. Sadly those options aren't available in the US either.

Default Update

So I received a text from my sales person on Monday after I text him for an update: "It's in process as we speak. It should be on our next allocation in about 2 weeks and we will have a VIN #."

Then I received another message Thursday saying: "Your car is getting produced on 3/31!" That same day I received an email with an attachment that looks to be my order and VIN #?

Needless to say I'm super excited and can't wait. Wanted to inquire if anybody knows from experience how long it takes to produce the NX or a car in general and the wait time on shipping? Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge, shipping is about three weeks, then about a week or so to get it to your dealer
