Folks, had a chat with the GM of my local Lexus dealer while I was in for servicing today and he said the NX will be available in the September to October timeframe. Fingers crossed he's right.
(as an aside, this is for Canada but US likely the same and he also said the RC is slated for November-December, and RC-F Q1 2015)
That is what I was told by my dealership the other day as well. Lexus Canada, again, said no clues and suggests "ask your dealership" ...
lexus is going to show it at the beijing auto show on 4/20, that's their official release
I think there may be a reason why Lexus has chosen to show the NX at the Beijing auto show. Audi is going to show their small crossover SUV concept at the same show.

it has nothing to do with Audi... NX is for Asia and Europe, and 2.0t especially fits special tax brackets that other Lexus models could not before.... i believe in China they tax on engine size.

with more and more x1 i see around, i really hope the nx can do well. i always think the rx can have much more potential but because of the market it has to hold, the changes are limited. with the nx, things can change

Common practice among competitors. When Ford debuted the Explorer Sport (iirc), GM rushed to get the facelifted '13 Traverse (and Acadia/Enclave) ready for the autoshow

NX should be more like X3 than X1 though.
X1 is priced pretty low. Here in Europe you can get nice X1 for price of higher specced Rav4 with same engine. Of course once you get into X1, you realize why is it so inexpensive.
I dont get to see many X3's, people who dont like the price of X1, probably go for X5 right away.
I think NX will be aimed at Q5, less options and engines but maybe a bit more space.
edit: BMW has this offer where X1 18d is cheaper than similar Rav4.

yes i agree nx is more against x3 than x1. what i was trying to say is the trend of going smaller crossover just to be "in it", which should work very much in favor for lexus with the nx. with the x3, some people might argue it's right under rx and some even compare the two, but i think the nx is a great addition eying both x1 and x3 owners, especially once they experience the interior amenities / space, etc...
