Saw my DIL’s Audi SQ5 front doors’ projector lights and wanted them for my 2020 NX doors but saw the discussion on CL that basically said the American market doesn’t have these courtesy lights on 1st Gen NXs…
Question: Does anyone know what country/countries have these lights on their 1st Gen NXs? — Australia? UK? Germany, etc.?
— Not sure if the 2021 MY or 2nd Gen NX (American market) comes with them…
Obviously they’re out there or they wouldn’t be for sale as shown in pics below — here’s the link:

Too bad, so sad for me— IMO, I think they’re cool, they helped these “older eyes” see better when entering the car at night, and I’d love to have them on mine…

You can buy this style of puddle lamps for all your doors, regardless of what wiring your vehicle came with. They are battery operated and stick onto the inside of your doors. The one in the front is factory installed, the one in the back can work with any door.

Do you have a website recommendation you can provide as I’ve googled the self stick puddle lights and a bunch of light replacement ones came up?
I did find one self stick website that costs $199 and another one where they were on sale for $29, but when I went to select Lexus, that was not on the list so maybe they’re out of stock on Lexus ones. I called the website and a recording referred me to email them with info. I don’t really want to give out my info, nor do I want to pay $199 if I can get them for much cheaper — so please, if you have a recommendation website for self stick ones, I would appreciate you letting me know.

As for the ring around the logo, you can always make a project out of it and black it out with electrical tape.

it comes with a magnetic strip that you attach to the bottom of your door sill that will automatically turn the light off when you shut the door. That’s only if you get it the right distance away from the lamp that you fixed to the door. Mine is too far away, so when I shut the door, the light doesn’t go off automatically. But it will go off after 30 seconds. The only problem is that it won’t come on automatically if it turns off after 30 seconds like that. I don’t really care because I only use the back lights if I need to, and you easily just tap it to turn it on. Just an FYI.
