Looking for more horsepower
I have a 2016 Lexus NX 200t F Sport. I am interested in gaining additional horsepower (30-50). I want the vehicle to look and sound as close to stock as possible. I’m leaning towards an ECU tune, this might get me the results I’m looking for? I don’t want to get into straight piping the exhaust or putting in a cold air intake….these will only yield small power gains anyway. Any thoughts on an ECU tune? Anybody here have one done already? Just trying to get feedback from someone with more experience on this than myself….thanks.

I enjoy the tune a lot but want to point out that the NX200t/300 is really limited by the size of its puny compressor wheel. I don't think 50 hp can be gained with the stock turbo. GotTuned/MuchBoost off of Poland has a nice turbo that can push much more air than the stock one, assuming you find a tuner willing to work with you. I'm not sure if VFTuner is still in business. TTi might be your best bet these days. (Compared their file with a stock file and saw that their tune only adjusts boost and not ignition advance or valve timing). D3 has had their NX tune under development for quite some time now, and I don't think they'll ever be done with it. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...dc89e38077.png |
Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. You said you’re currently using VF Tuner…is it a plug & play? Can you recall which one you’re using? Are you seeing any noticeable results with the FTP charge pipe? An additional 25 hp. would most likely be enough. Thanks again for any additional info…I appreciate it greatly.
