Looking for a reputable shop
What’s going on fellow Lexus members, I know this question has been asked before but I haven’t found an honest and detailed answer for a good shop located in the Bay Area. I know some members mentioned Blacktrax performance but all I see is, “They are good and done my car before.”
I’m trying to find a shop, preferably near San Bruno, that is reputable and experienced in the Toyota/Lexus brand. I recently just got a brand-used 03 IS300 with 190k miles and I’m looking for a good maintenance check up. If anyone can help, please leave a reason why the shop you suggested is trustable and experienced.
** Off-topic but the reason why I’m asking is because there is oil seeping on the left side of the engine around the exhaust manifold, I want to replace the timing belt, and I want to replace the harmonic balancer. **

There isn't much activity on here so I'll try to help you out.
check out the arco at westborough/gellert - the guy is known in the s2k community, but he often has modded lexus/toyotas in there. Hosts small car meets and etc. Haven't gone there personally, but my friends are there often hanging out.
Impact performance in san mateo has a good reputation on this forum.
C&T automotive in san mateo is the highest rated toyota/lexus specialist.
I do not have personal experience as i have an extended warranty that i use at the dealer for now
good luck

+1 for John at Exact also. He's taken care of my maintenance on my old IS350 many times before and I will be bringing my RC-F to him for a full tranny/diff flush at 50k miles.
I usually use Motorsport Techniques for everything else (alignment/suspension).

Check out Four B Auto in Santa Clara been taking my cars there for years. My dad has been taking his cars there since the 90's when it was a 1 bay shop with the owner David. Now they have gotten bigger and have 6 or so bays and the owner's son are now starting to help out and slowly take over the business. I've been taking my car there for 7 years or so and I've never had any complaints. They are honest there and don't BS you at all.
