To you, yours may be.
This car didn't come easy. It's the result of working hard, years of sacrifice and the representation of finally obtaining a dream never thought possible. And because of that I respect it and try to take care of it the best I can.
It's not just ANY car to me.
And more significantly, my health is also mine, which to me, is VERY important.

I hate people like that. Even if you didn't tell me what car he drove, my first guess would've been BMW. My impression from the BMW drivers I see on the road hasn't been very positive. Sure there are few cool ones, but a majority are biatches and ******.
Sorry to hear that you have to go through the terrible ordeal. I would've pulled the cigarette out his mouth and burned his face with it. If you aren't the violent type then throw it into his car.

I use to chain smoke, but would never disrespect someone else's car.. usually, I'm 50 ft away hoping nobody else got second hand smoke..
You did everything right, kept your composure and gave him 3 chances and quietly left. You have more patience than most.

Well, the car is aired out now and the smell is gone. I've wiped down the interior, cleaned the rugs and aired him out with all the windows down and the roof open when I drove him for three hours round trip. I also drove him to work the same way and let him sit in the driveway with everything open.
I'm over it now.
But if I ever see that guy again (he's the BF of a new friend of mine) then I will make sure to let him know what a hassle it was to rid my car of the cigarette smoke.

I don’t even let people eat or drink in my car. Sometimes they get upset but they need to understand that it’s a privilege to ride in or even be in my car.
The day I bought my car, I drove straight from the dealership to a Christmas party with my new car. Everybody at the party (mostly co-workers) wanted to see it (the car) and I was happy to show it off. One girl was walking towards the car door with a glass of red wine. I had to tell her to shoo and go away. I might have offended her, but I didn’t want to take any chances.
