Darwin @ Sonic MS finished this crazy frame dropped E350 Mercedes.
Originally on stock air system, replaced with custom applications front and rear to utilize a full frame drop. This is not easy to do at all, Sonic spent countless hours finalizing and measuring for that ultimate stance.

Specs:
- Custom Air bag suspension
- Full Wald kit
- Work Wheels
- AMG E55 BBK conversion

HAWT!!!!

The Platinum VIP guys are nuts!

I took some pictures of their cars, and even though I'm far from being a pro Chris handed me their card and told me to send a few their way.

Auto Concept Top Secret Supra
Driven up to Norcal by our very own CL Jowe and Mike (forgot screen names)

This car almost didnt make it. Friday night they had to retro fit Nissan Silvia wiper blades just to battle the weather. Twice the car did not start due to the dry-cell Optima battery. But Jowe and Mike were troopers, came and represented for Auto Concept and took home Best Supra and Best Engine bay.

Congrats guys and thanks for chillin in Norcal!

Andy from Stockton with his ridiculous Chrysler 300C. This car has won several times at Goodguys and I look forward to judging this car again this season.

Well done.

The last car I want to talk about is the Goodguys booth car. It is a 1961 Lincoln Continental. Those old enough will remember JFK was killed in a convertible Continental. This car in my book is the most gangsta domestic car I have ever driven. Black/black all original everything except a drop and 20" inch solid billets by Boyd Coddington and massive white walls.

This car turns heads everywhere. Kids, mothers, grandparents, Import kids.. somehow can all relate to this car. Maybe it was the suicide doors or perhaps you remember a scene in Matrix 1 where this exact car was used in the rain scene... somehow, someway.. everyone can connect with this car.

I was blown away with the response of this car. Driving into the garage, I felt frozen in time.. bodies stopped moving and cameras flashed constantly. Lots of respect and love for this car and I just want to thank everyone that came and visited the Goodguys booth. I brough 500 magazines, schedules, bags, flyers, etc. In 45 minutes, all the Gazette magazine was gone and we actually ran out of bags.

Year after year, I'm starting to finally see a change in attitude from the Import scene and their interpretation of the Hot Rod domestic world. At the end, cars are cars. I dont care where they are made.. so long as it makes horsepower and has 4 wheels, then I'm a fan.

Thanks everyone and hope to see everyone end of this month at the the All-American Get-Together at the Alameda Fairgrounds.

That's funny. Just for kicks, I looked thru craigslist a few weeks ago looking at 60s Lincoln Continentals. I think they would make a great Rat Rod!
