hows it going? my names jeff and i just purchased a brand new 2009 is250 SGM with the x package. im from alameda and just here to meet other Lexus owners and hopefully learn more about my car... i also have a white evo9mr which is going to be my dedicated auto x/track car now that i got my is.

do you guys have any weekly meets in the bay area?

any reputable shops you guys recommend?

anybody selling a used exhaust or intake let me know too.

Welcome to CL and Nor Cal. We have a tight knit community here and almost all the active members know each other. Some of us have known each other for 7+ years but even the "new" people have been around for over a year or two. If you go to meets you will quickly see who's who by screen name. Get out and meet people, don't hide out only in cyberspace, cuz you'll be missing a lot of knowledge and information that is often not as available as you may think by just reading or posting on the forums.


First thing we always say is DO A SEARCH. Especially basic questions like yours that have been answered hundreds of times already.

So as far as info on weekly mini meets and shop recommendations, we like to help people, but we want members to learn to help themselves. That said I'm gonna make you look for those two topics on the first page of this section. You don't even need to do an advanced search for that. Let your eyes do all the work.

As for finding an exhaust, there are plenty of 2IS guys here that could help, in fact our network goes deeply into the SoCal region. We "Personally" know a lot of the active SoCal crew.


I won't be going to the Alameda meet this weekend, but I'll look forward to meeting you some other time, either at a mini meet or BOS.
