Just wanted to chime in with a positive experience I had.

Drove my LS up from SoCal and one of my tires blew out while I was driving around locally. Luckily no damage to the car or rim so it was just a matter of finding a new NT555 in the correct size. After talking to a couple local members I settled on this shop to get me set.

Tire Outlet on alum rock (in San Jose) really pulled through for me.
Not only did they manage to get the exact tire in the right size I needed within an hour from their warehouse, they:
-price matched a shop that was further (giving me the best price overall) AND
-stayed after hours when I got to their shop 2minutes AFTER they closed (goddamn traffic...) instead of turning me away plus
- They didn't muck up my rim at all, nor did they have a problem with the (relatively mild) stretch I run.
-In and out within 25-30mins, maybe less.

Carlos was an awesome guy to deal with, overall a very positive experience.

Hi folks, I'm looking for an East Bay shop that has experience swapping motor mounts on a GS430.

Any recommendations?

If you are from Rhode Island as your profile indicates, you might want to start a new thread in that region. All recommendations here will be for local bay area. If you are residing in the Bay Area, you still should NOT post on this recommendations thread, but start your own new thread with a title that helps people know whether you have a topic that they would like to respond to.

Hi I'm looking for a shop that can install brake pads on my ISF. I also need an oil change so if they can do that too, that'll be great.

This shouldn't be a secret. In the South bay, the Tire outlet (Alum Rock) and Exact (Milpitas) are two places where many Lexus members go. You will find there is a Lexus being worked on almost every week by these two shops. I often run in to members any time I go in to these shops. Both have been serving the Lexus community for 7 + years already.

Impact Performance. Plenty of good feedback if you search their name on this Section. Some of the nicest cars in the SF region go there to get work done. Ask for Carlin and tell him you were recommended by CL

yeah I went there the last time on your recommendation, but it looks like they moved to SJ. I'm looking for something in fremont or milpitas.

Another consistently great experience from Exact Motorsports. John and Sandy took in my 1IS on short notice and replaced my dangerously worn out Michelins-all four, after receiving the replacement Michelin tires from the Tirerack. The alignment was done by who else but the Tire Outlet Store (Alum Rock) in SJ.

In addition to doing the regular scheduled maintenance, Exact Motorsports also replaced my worn out brake pads with Akebono Pro-Act and front LCA bushings. Superb work, attention to detail and honest service. What more could you ask? Well worth the trip from SF.

Many thanks again to John and Sandy at Exact Motorsports.
