Talking Thanks for coming out everyone!

I just want to start out by saying a warmful thanks to all who decided to come out for the Bear Mtn meet today. By my count, we had a total of 26 cars (10 GS, 5 SC, 4 IS, 2 ES, 2 Benz's, 1 Subaru WRX, 1 BMW M3, and 1 Infiniti FX35). To sum it up, the day was filled with:

- picnic food and drinks (worked out though we ended up with more food left over than we anticipated. Next time, only hot dogs and burgers )
- raffles (Brandon, sorry to hear TM Engineering and lexus-parts.com didn't deliver the items on time. Congrats to those who won)
- burnouts and drifting action (can't believe some of us, including Steve and Jason, took the risk with the gravel and crappy pavement, but it was hilarious and fun to watch! Please, please post any drifting pics and vid clips )
- fun and twisty drives (enough said... I think we can agree that MrSypher is the hardest to keep up with, right guys? )

Most of all, the meet wouldn't be complete without the presence of all of us CL members, reuniting as old friends and making new friends, just like one big family/friends reunion. I'm especially glad to see guys like Steve and Beth who drove for 3-1/2 hrs from Boston, and Angel (and his turbo'ed SC300) who drove just as much from PA. Some of the coolest new people I met include DrewGS4 (very knowledgeable of the GS) and SC300Es (very nice person all around). All in all, you guys are awesome for making the commitment to come up here.

So there you have it, our 1st official ClubLexus meet to ever take place in Bear Mountain, and seeing that all of us got a taste of the roads driven there and had a great time too, I hope we consider making this a "tradition" every year or every few months.

I only have a few pictures to show since I was too busy greeting and talking to other people. Not my best picture-taking turnout, but I'm sure others will fill in

1st picture = Kendu14, my ES, steviej, RNM GS3.

From your event organizer,
Doug

Default Sorry I couldn't make it

Looks like you guys had a great day. Sorry I couldn't make it, but check the time on my post...it's Sunday night at 10:15 and I'm still here at work. Waiting to finalize our numbers to send to Corporate. Next time we have to try something in the middle of the month or not during a quarter end.

NO, we should thank you for organizing this. It gave me a chance to meet some of the people that answer my questions and see all the nice cars they have. I had to split in the end cuz I was running low on gas and wanted to find a gas station. In all, it was a great day for people who showed up.
