Eastern MD, new to Lexus, have some questions
Hey there, Manny from Eastern MD here, long time German car owner who never really looked at Lexus as something interesting until I came across a 1995 LS400, and now I want one lol!
I'm on the search for a bone stock 1996-2000 LS400 with up to 140.000 miles, for the past few days I've been reading a lot the forum and found amazing info, what I'm gonna ask has been asked a thousand times but still ,here we go...
My previous car was an e46 BMW so let's say I'm used to doing trips to the shop and I also learnt a lot during the time I owned it. This car, being Jap I expect it to be way more reliable than a BMW but I can't oversee that it still is an almost 20 years old luxury sedan and I'm sure it will need some love. What are the common weak spots and how bad are they to fix in terms of $? What things should I look for before buying one (beyond maintenance history, Carfax, etc)?
Thanks in advance and if I end up buying the Lexus I hope to meet some of you guys in a group trip!

Hi Manny , try looking into the ls sub forum since there will be members there who have the exact car that you’re looking at and will be filled with knowledge that they hopefully will be willing to share.
