Anybody Know a good/cheap Body Shop in the Queens area? Mostly Flushing/College Point.
Short story, my girls brother crashed the family's 99 Corolla (44k miles). So they are trying to see if it is best to junk it or fix it. I need to get some quotes, but one shop said roughly $4-5k!!!! and that it was better to scrap it. He'd offer $400 for it. Anybody else know how much you can get for sending it to be scrapped for metal?
Anyhow, I posted some pics below. How much do you guys think it would cost to fix. I looked up majority of the parts on ebay and (hood, fender, headlight, bumper, corner light, hood latch, radiator, dual elec. Fans, radiator reservoir and radiator support) can get them for roughly $700. New windshield is like $200, and airbags would be another $200-225.
Engine starts right up and runs great. Radiator is smashed so its leaking a bit of coolant. I just hate to see it being junked, especially with such low miles. Oh, I think he hit a trucks steel bumper, so the impact was high and the bumper reinforment is fine. I think its all sheet metal/cosmetic.
