Lexus Performance Shops DFW
Looked through a few ages and didn't see anything....sorry if I missed it. We all know that when thinking Honda, you go to Tony at T1, vette is LG motorsports, etc. Is there a shop that most of the Lexus guys here use? Looking to get a few things and although I can probably order everything online and save a few bucks, I like supporting local shops! Thanks in advance gents and ladies.

Im a total do it yourself guy, only place that comes to mind is JPImportz, good guy and some quality work. MVP Motorsports is also great but a ways out from the metroplex.

Dynosaur Performance in Saginaw, Tx
They are the only shop i would trust my car to. If they cant get you a certain part, they can make it. |
What about the 1uz guys? Both of those shops are for 2jz owners.
|
I'd definitely go with JP Importz.
|
Thanks guys. I know Dynosaur, but haven't heard of the other ones. I'll definitely have to check them out!

I posted a similar thread on the FB group. Dynosaur and JP for 2JZ. I'm not sure who to go to for 1UZ.
|
1uz is mostly a diy type of engine. Where a turbo kit is custom fabricated. Exhaust is custom, etc..

spdrcr771 - Who did your swap? If I follow your sig correctly, the PPE headers with the Y pipe setup made the biggest difference for you (besides the swap)? Mustang Dyno's read lower correct?
I've got IMF headers (long tube) but am not getting the performance I expected. Is there an exhaust shop you'd recommend to inspect the rest of my system? I'm trying to retain a relatively quiet setup. |

MVP Motorsports. Dusty and the crew are top notch.

oh, GOD...DO NOT GO TO JPI unless you don't value your car at all... That guy is a hack.

lol. He's fine for OEM related repairs. I believe he used to be a master tech as Lexus, but don't take your stuff to them for mods or aftermarket.
If you need a built 2JZ, let me know :) |
