Default FS: 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo Show and Go

***$100 referral bonus if you legitimately refer someone to me who buys the car. You must contact me first to let me know you sent them my way.

After 11 years of ownership, the time has come to put her up for sale.

I have owned this 91 MR2 turbo since June of 2002. After 3 months of searching, I found a Signal Yellow and purchased it from a guy in Delaware with around 90k miles. The only mods it had at the time were a K&N intake, MBC, H&R springs, Tokiko shocks, and Greddy turbo timer. It was love at first site when he pulled up in the car (no gay), and true love when I took it for my first ride. This car was my daily driver up until 2008, and it even moved me down to Florida from PA back in 2003 (18 hour drive straight through!). I have continuously modified and taken care of the car over the years, and have kept the Mobil1 flowing on a regular basis.

Reason I am selling… pick an excuse. My wife recently gave birth to our first child. I rarely drive the car anymore and feel like I am losing the passion for it. I am ignorant when it comes to working on the car and it takes an hour to drive to anyone that can work on it.

Pros:
-I have a book of receipts which track the car before I have even owned it
-Tons of aftermarket parts; some rare, some not
-With the right additional mods and TLC, this car has tons of potential
-Under the same ownership for 11 years, adult driven, raced twice (won both  ), never brought to the track
-Garage kept for the past 5 years
-Less than 5k miles driven the past 5 years

Cons:
-a/c no longer blows cold. May just need a recharge, but not sure.
-Small oil drip. I brought it to Mark at Bold Performance in Tampa and he suggested replacing the front main seal, oil pump, and water pump. $700-$800.
-Car was repainted, but there are a few drips.
-High miles 154k
-There is a small bb size crack in the windshield. It has been there since 2008 and has not gotten any worse.

I am looking for $10,500 OBO. Do not be afraid to make me an offer. Worst I can say is no.
I am not parting the car at this time, so please do not ask. The only trade I will consider is an MKIV Supra, with cash on my end of course.

If I do not sell it in the next few months, I will probably go-ahead and replace the front main seal, oil pump, water pump, and do the timing belt again (was changed at 105k).

Feel free to contact me at mr2pio@yahoo.comfor a quick reply.

Thanks for looking!

Mike

as a fellow EX MR2 owner (see SIG), I have to say, that thing looks in great shape! I had mine for 5 years, loved it. mr2oc.com is another great forum for owners too. Someone should pick this thing up, great deal! The TD06 turbos are great. GLWS man

Snapped two quick vids last week at 15 lbs. Did not have a ton of room to work with.
