I was curious if this is true, i came across a carfax for a vehicle that was involved in an accident in NY. Some carfax will say for example "accident involving front and rear impact" etc. , but this report only have the date on which it only says "Accident reported with another motor vehicle."

On the bottom of the carfax, this was stated:

New York Damage Reports:

• Do not include an assessment of damage severity

• Are required if the estimated damage exceeds $1000

So do i assume the accident involved was less than $1000 in damages?

check autocheck its a carfax competitor. they have better descriptions on accidents. carfax is good for service history and mileage consistency.
