Hey New Yorkers,

I need some help finding a Discount Tire type (read that as in good prices) store near the following route to NY

19. Merge onto I-81 S
20. Slight right at I-380 S
21. Merge onto I-80 E
22. Take exit 47A on the left for I-280 toward Newark
23. Continue straight onto I-280 E
24. Take exit 16E to merge onto I-95 N/New Jersey Turnpike N toward Lincoln Tunnel

I am heading to NYC on Wednesday for a couple of days and will be driving my wifes' car (Nissan Maxima) and we need to get new tires.

I tried searching for locations of Discouttire.com and they don't have any stores in NY or Penn. Their prices seem to the best I have seen so far (for example Falken Ziex ZE-512 215/55R-16 93V B is $77/each.

Any suggestions on some other store not far from the route above?

In my travels as a trucker, I find that Discount tire doesn't really have stores in the north east. I have found them mostly out in the midwest part of the country; from Ohio and west. The last time I bought tires from them I had them shipped to my house, and I had them installed. Why not get hold of them and have them shipped to you? Their site advertises UPS Ground Shipping to the lower 48 and Canada.

The prices are on par with Discount Tire at all locations. If you are every in Elmont Long Island, you can check out the Mavis Tire @ 1841 Hempstead TPK. Elmont, NY 11003 my shop of choice since I've been going to them for years.
