Question Anyone used Chantilly Repair Center?

Unfortunately, it looks like American Auto Tech has shut down (in Jan. '09). Their phone number forwarded to another small shop in Chantilly called "Chantilly Repair Center":

http://chantillyrepaircenter.com

Anyone heard of or used them? Their prices seem reasonable (compared to Pohanka, anyway) and the guy I spoke with (Omar) sounded like he knew what he was talking about.

My IS is at 45K miles and I'm trying to decide between taking it to the most convenient dealership (Pohanka) for $200+ or bringing it to this place for $90 (and who will swap my winter->summer wheels for free). The car is still under warranty for another 5K miles... do you think that's a good reason to take it to the dealership these last 2 times?

Any other mechanic recommendations, especially in the Chantilly/Dulles area?

Im a toyota technician....I work for Russel Toyota in Baltimore, MD
i have a great deal of experience working on lexuses as many people bring them to my dealership for service...

i do oil change/rotations for a reasonable price ...you supply your own oil (dealership has mobil 1 synthetic blend), i take care of the oem toyota filter...
i can do any interval service as well, but for applications other than RX or ES you must supply the parts...my pricing is varible but reasonable

PM me for more details.

I joined this forum when I bought my GS350 at the end of 2010 and really haven't posted anything until now. I myself am searching for a mechanic that can service my car vise the stealership. I did get my first oil change free and I took it to Pohanka Lexus in Chantilly which I cannot stand and I see some posts from other people that feel the same way as well. I called Chantilly Repair Center which was mentioned in this thread but they could not get me in until next week.

I can't wait that long so I took my car to the Toyota dealership in Stafford. I was wondering if anyone in the Northern Va area has ever taken their Lexus there to get serviced. I'm getting the oil changed and tires rotated and balanced. The total is going to be ~$90, much more cheaper than a Lexus dealership around in this area. I really didn't want to bring it there but I have to get this service done. Next time I will probably try Chantilly Repair Center. So I was just wondering how the experience was there if your Lexus was serviced there. Thanks!

Default The best place!

I've had my old ES for years now and I take it to LXT Automotive in Rockville. It's a small shop but they are very honest and affordable. They are lexus specialists so i really trust them to know whats going on with my car. I think they charged me half of what the dealer would've charged me for the last repair and everything is working perfectly. My car is going to last forever!

Default Looking for an Independent Mechanic for an LX 570 in or around Baltimore, MD

I have a 2008 Lexus LX 570. I am looking for a trustworthy independent mechanic to service and provide support in the Baltimore area.

The dealerships in the area have suggested some really bizarre services that I have confirmed with a guy that has worked on my truck are unnecessary and duplicative of work he has already performed.

Any suggestions?

Warren at CareFirst Automotive in Beltsville, MD is a good guy. Owns an Aristo swapped 2nd Gen GS. He does all the work on my GS400.
