I am at a loss it always seems like I go to the same places whenever I go out with a girl. Although the places that I go to are great I would like to get some variety going. So I am asking my neloc peeps for help. I would like to know where you guys or gals like to go out with your significant other or your boyfriend and girlfriend. Just to give you an idea of what I do is I usually take the girl to cheesecake factory in Westbury, its a great place and reasonably priced but its a trip for me but I don't mind having time to converse on the ride, its actually a bonus . I also like going to Sea in Williamsburg its a great place with amazing food and good prices as well. But it seems like I don't know anywhere else to go and if I do go somewhere its not good. So any recommendations that anyone has on where to go are welcome. Thank you in advance for the help.

Seriously, um,, this is probably one of those times where idle conversation and, of course, good listening and probing questions in order to help you to come up with ideas may help. Why not let her choose where you guys go, or let her set up the date. Shows that you are not monopolizing the activity all of the time and encourages her to input ideas as well, trust me,, alot less thinking this way.

 

yea your right tony but I just started talking to this girl again after almost 4 years, we went to high school together and I just recently ran into her so for the first date I believe its on me to come up with the plan, don't you agree? Btw about Tantra you're absolutely right that boy will be giving me ideas to drive 3 hours to the tip of long island to check out a light house in winter LOL!!

 

Agreed,,, i wasnt privy to the info. that this was the first date. Like I said,, good probing questions during the process of idle conversation as well as picking up on small obscure cues should help you come up with ideas. Check with OOHPAPI, aka DAT 7 FOOT LUVA!!! LOL!!! Pretty sure he may be able to give you some ideas. I mean with a name like that,,,hmmmmmm. LOL!!!

this is what i think are good places to go // things to do:

1. There is this place in Brooklyn called the Promenade...Simply BEAUTIFUL at night..you can see the city from it...google it for directions.

2. Astoria Park -- if you go there at night..It is really cold...so its a good excuse to cuddle // get close...Wen you get to the park...you can go over the bars and into the rocks...it's a nice place..but its cold...so i think this may be a bad idea...

3. ((My favorite)) Drive around aimlessly ((only good with people u've known for a while))

4. Can't go wrong with Movies and a Dinner

5. If she is into Drinking, partying...then a Bar/Lounge/Club...I reccomend club..because..well..you drink..and you dance..so you...hehe...i think you know where that can lead..

6. If she smokes -- Hookah bars are great... you can give her a shotty..and go in for a quick make out session..always works for me :-D

7. There is a car Show that Gsoup posted!! You can have fun..and she can watch you have fun :-p

Alright tantra some constructive ideas. The promenade is a great place but it seems more like an after date in order to get some alone time with her before you bring her home. I've been there and its an awesome place the view is amazing. Dinner and movies seem played out been there done that how many girls have you done it with? I've personally lost count, so movies I think are out. Astoria park would be great in the summer but same for me I live in Coney island I could just go to the beach LOL!! Don't know if she smokes but I've never smoked cigarettes and tried hookah twice so not too good of an idea but I do like some of the shakes they make. My greatest problem is whenever i run into her is in a bar/lounge/club and I would like to just settle down somewhere peaceful and chat, try to reconnect with the girl. Don't know where it might go but we were cool in high school so we shall see now. So I guess in essence what I am looking for would be a place to maybe eat or just a place where you can sit down to talk. But have fun doing it be entertained. Thanks for the ideas tantra and hopefully we can keep them coming. Comedy club comes to mind BTW.

Great suggestion, also its not only a after hours spot, here are some great Indian, Thai, Italian restaraunts over there. (Montague Street). There is one Italian place that I have been going to forever called La Traviata, over there.

Try it out. (better in warmer months though).

 

Not really I've done it maybe twice and it does absolutely nothing for me. But I have tried it. Drive in movies would definitely be cool know where I can find one? LOL

 

Where is it located Derrick? What is their menu like?

Hey Vlad, I'd try this place out it is one of my favorites....

Called "Fat Cats" in Manhattan. Bar with only beer on tap, live music everynight even Sundays! Billiards, ping pong, and even chess (if your into that .) It's a low key spot, but very nice environment!
