I have for sale an Elemental Designs SQ10 10" shallow mount subwoofer. This sub will fit, with no problems, in a first gen SC in the OEM rear deck sub hole using the OEM bracket ( I had this in my SC ). It is certainly an upgrade over stock, but is no W7. The sub is in great condition, but one of the binding posts/mounts is weak, but this really causes no issue other than being careful when you hook it up. $50 shipped.

Sent you PM..Interested in this. Will this work with the factory amp and sound better than the stock one? Looking to have the bass hit harder but with no loss in trunk sq footage.

It's 2 ohm coil, not sure what amp you have, but you may need another amp to do what you want. It may work ok with your factory amp and should sound better than the factory sub, but for a GS, I would recommend something a little beefier, like a 11Ov2 and a aftermarket sub amp. Use that sub with the GS sub MDF ring and you'd be good-to-go, maintaining your trunk space/look and getting good thump. The SQ10 is really for people who want to mount a woofer in a tight spot, like the 1st gen GS or 1st gen SC - it does a decent job in those applications.
