Regarding driving in the winter, I store my car in the winter as I have two other cars. However, you would want to start with some really good winter tires and you might have to go with narrow tread like 225 wide tires front and back square setup. You might want to get some winter wheels that are the same size front and back (Stock is 10 inch rear and 9 inch front). You might want to get 9 inch front and back. I am not too sure about placing weight in the back as RCF has quite a lot of weight in the back already, It used to be for the very old cars I used to hear about back when I was a kid where the rear end used to be much lighter than the front. I don't think you need to place a lot of weight in the back as long as you have good set of winter tires. You should be fine with a good set of winter tires. Let me know if you have any questions. Regarding the service and maintenance, I personally go to Lexus for everything, but to be honest with you, I have a shop that does work on high end cars including German etc. I am getting some parts installed by them (RR Racing Harmonic Damper Pulley and LCA USRS bushings) and they have a very good reputation for doing work on high end cars, but charge a lot less. Though, I have never taken my RCF to my Toyota dealership (where I always took my Corolla XRS), but I take my RX450h to the Toyota dealership and they do the same work for about 70% of the cost of the Lexus dealership. That is another option for you to see if you can find a good Toyota dealership that could do all of the work or find a really well reputed shop to do the work for much less. You will find such shops in your area, guaranteed!

Hey brother, I'm the guy that just purchased a used 2020 RCF.
1. I have to be honest and admit that I'm not a wealthy person (it took me almost 3 years to save up for this car) and I am at a limited budget. My 1st. question is, do I have to take my RCF to an authorized Lexus dealer for oil changes? I read somewhere about chassis tightening and other factors that make wonder do I have to take my vehicle to a Lexus dealer for every oil or service call?
P.S. I have friend that owns a car repair shop that I can rely on if I can instruct him on what is needed to look and inspect at.
2. I live in the upstate NY area, and I get more snow than the regular NYC and NJ area. My RCF is also a daily vehicle so my question is, what can I do to help during the winter and snowy times? BTW, my car repair shop friend suggested that I place something heavy (over 80 lbs.) in my trunk to help with winter snow if I need more traction.

Not sure where you are looking at. I have not seen that information anywhere. You can look at test weights. R&T Pcoty RCF Carbon Fiber Package weighed 4030 lbs (but, it was loaded with Mark Levinson 17 speaker, which is quite heavy. My RCF has it). The TVD weight was discussed a couple of years back and one member revealed the TVD weighs 45 lbs. I can search for it if you want to see it. You did not factor in the weight of the LSD, which is typically around 20 lbs.

Which article are you mentioning states Carbon TVD is much heavier? Make sure it is not a TVD RCF article with no carbon fiber on it.
