Lexus IS F 2008 - 2014
Description:

Super rare discontinued. So I cracked a spoke on on front rim but it can be welded if your brave. These are rare rims new over 850 each but are discontinued. My loss your gains. Wheels only. After a lot of research I decided to go with the Weds Sport SA-67R in Gunmetal. They are flow-formed so similar strength and durability of our forged BBS's and EXTREMELY lightweight...they weigh 22 lbs for the rear 19x10's and 21.4 lbs for the front 19x9's ? Compare this to the stock BBS which weigh 29 lbs for the rear and 23 lbs for the front! For the tires, I decided to go with the Nitto INVO's...245/35's in the front and 285/30's in the rear.
They offsets are as +35 for the front and +42 for the rears. No spacers. They fit perfect. I could have run a 275/30 in the rear without any rubbing at all and no fender trimming, but I wanted the bigger tire in the rear. Need 999.00 shipped New over 3600.00.

Do you really think it could be welded back to original state?

Sure just one of the 12 spokes is cracked. I have had wheels welded before. I just wouldn't use them for the track because of the stresses.

What are the specs on the wheels, and how much do you estimate it would cost to repair the crack?

+35 for the front and +42 for the rears. 19x9n fronts and 19x10 rears. Weld not very expensive .

Correct me if I’m wrong but a crack like that is a safety issue so isn’t that covered by warranty? Most company’s offer lifetime warranty against cracks as long as wi wasn’t done from a pothole.

Default Cracked wheel

Personally I would throw that cracked wheel away and have some recycling plant to melt it down!!! Safety is not worth the $750 or so you are trying to get for the cracked wheel. BTW, you CAN NOT really compare your cracked wheel to "brand new". I think it is just wrong trying to sell a KNOWN "CRACKED WHEEL". Most reputable tire shops will not even attempt to repair this. Some tire shops go even one step further and will not let you leave with that cracked wheel "remounted" back on the car due to safety reasons. Similarly if you went to a reputable tire shop for a nail puncture repair and your tire is worn out below the legal limit (basically a bald tire), there is NO way in good conscience that reputable tire shop will repair the flat bald tire for you.

How would you feel if YOUR CRACKED WHEEL caused an accident where someone got hurt badly or worse got killed?

One must ask the question that if these wheels are so good, why don't you keep driving on these wheels? I bet the cracked wheels are not even on your car anymore and dismounted already.

I just hate to see someone end up like the following picture (Yes, the failure started with just one cracked spoke and rest is history.)
