This is my personal car. I had long given it up when it stopped running back in 2018. I have come to find out that the catalytic converters were clogged.
It has been sitting since then, so back fees have accrued to who knows what (my guess would be 400-500), so I thought I would see if someone out of state might want it.
It has the rare black interior that I have seen is pretty hard to find. I had recently installed new shocks and a new radiator. The previous owner had a custom audio system so there is thick gauge wiring through the car for amps and dynamat in the trunk. There is also a custom subwoofer mount in the factory spot with I think a 10" sub.
The shop that I took it to first to diagnose the issue, snapped the crank pulley bolt off. So now there is nothing to hold the crank pulley on. It needs to be drilled out and re-tapped or possibly replace the crankshaft/short block.
I recently swapped the wheels to a different set of chrome 16" with new tires from another gs300.
It currently starts and will drive just enough to get on a trailer. I have the clean title in my name in hand.
I might be interested to get it, so I could use it as a parts car and for an interior swap. As u mentioned, the black interior is desirable. Would you please update the photos with some good interior shots showing the seats and as much of the interior as u can fit into a few photos? Remove the floor mats, and/or seat covers etc. I understand it’s probably not perfect, but this is the stuff that’ll make it easier to make a decision on. Thanks boss
I just signed up after seeing this post. I live about 30 miles north of LA. For months I’ve been looking for a GS in good condition but my budget doesn’t meet what people are selling these in my area.
did the repair shop give you a quote for the total? I can have the car towed to a shop by me for about $350. I’d message you directly I just don’t have access because I’m new to the forum.
