I bought this Celsior from an import dealer in the summer of 2022.
It currently has 85,170 kilometers which is 52,903 miles. Prior to purchase I ran a vehicle check in Japan and confirmed the mileage matched what you would expect - that report will be provided to the buyer. The mileage in 2018 showed 72,000 km at that time and 75,600 in 2020.
Since purchasing it I have done most of the major work these tend to need. The main ones being replacing the timing belt and changing the ECM capacitors. It wasn't having any problems, but all Celsior/LS400 capacitors are bound to fail eventually.
I also had a somewhat common problem with the AC fan not working. That was fixed by replacing the relay box under the hood.
Otherwise, I have not had any problems with the car, as you would probably expect. These are possibly the most bulletproof cars ever built. The engine will last longer than you or me.
Unlike many JDM cars, this one shares 95% of its parts with the LS400 so repairs are typically super easy - especially using this forum since folks have encountered issues with the LS400 for years and found fixes for everything.
It was definitely smoked in, as you can tell from the burn marks on the shifter and there was a ton of ash in the cabin air filter and under the console. I cleaned it all out and it really does not smell strongly of smoke - I am very sensitive to it myself - and I have run an ozone machine in it a few times. I'd say there is a hint, but definitely not what you would expect from how much ash was in it.
It comes with the very desirable passenger side trash can. All 4 floor mats are in excellent condition after a thorough cleaning. I put an LS400 trunk mat in it just to protect the floor. It has a complete tool kit and a functioning CD changer. The parking pole works as it should as do the power folding mirrors.
It has unknown branded lowering springs which actually ride really nice. I suspect it is still on the stock shocks which helps maintain the comfort you want from this type of car. It is not harsh at all but takes turns really well. The wheels are 19" made by Legzas and they are the reason I was first drawn to the car. The fitment is perfect and after having them refinished they look amazing - they make the car for me. The tires are Yokohama Ecos and they are from 2019 with a ton of tread. It comes with the spare tire and jack.
The stereo display does not work, as with pretty much every one of these cars ever made. I was able to find a block of stations that work here (there's about 5) and added a bluetooth receiver to be able to listen to music from my phone. All other functions in the car work as expected.
There are some burn marks in a couple places on the passenger side, but nothing terrible. I planned to replace the shifter at some point because of the marks. There are some stains here and there on the carpet and I was planning to take the seats out and give it a thorough detailing this spring but it looks really nice overall.
There are a couple paint blemishes on the front but overall the paint is beautiful.
The tint is a bit mismatched to my eyes and it is VERY dark. Driving at night can be tricky. The windshield is not tinted at all.
It comes with a bunch of spare parts and future maintenance items.
I've spent a small fortune on this car in a short time hoping to keep it forever - you stand to gain from that.

Known issues:
The Trac Off light blinks intermittently - it doesn't seem to have a rhyme or reason. I'd say it comes on about every 5th time I drive it and stays on until I restart the car and about half the time it'll go off and the other half it'll stay on.
**This did not occur all fall/winter/spring
The catalyst temperature warning light comes on when the AC is at full blast. I first noticed this when it wasn't working, I drove around with the fan showing high but nothing coming out and the light would come on. It will flicker and get brighter while accelerating hard and dimmer when coasting. It does not seem to come on when the AC is on lower settings or when turned off. The converters do not glow red hot as a result and there does not seem to be excess heat coming off of it when I check around them.
**Again, it hasn't been happening since last summer - I've since used a infrared temp sensor and confirmed the cats do not get hot when the light is on and I also noted that when the light is on, if I turn the AC off the light goes out immediately. But it has not done it in over 8 months.
I own one with cream leather and it has that dusty old leather smell. Just curious if the cloth seats prevent the car from getting that smell or if the problem is actually the carpets.

Also, bumping the thread - I was thinking about keeping it and selling something else. I lowered the price due to two new issues and updated the mileage to current.
