Default Helpful tip for removing oil filter on sc300

A while ago, I was having problems removing my oil filter during the change- even to the point where getting the filter off would take up to half an hour. I found this to be the best method for me, so hopefully this helps.
First, I get at it from the top with a rgid handled filter clamp (where the ring closes as you turn in the correct direction) and loosen it just a bit. Then I put her up on the lift and use my hand to get it off.
Before, I just always used one of those tools and tried to get it from underneath.

Like I said, I dunno how many others have had this prob, but hopefully this helps.

i use to get that problem all the time too until i got mad and discovered this by accident. I stabbed a screwdriver right through it. After you do that you just turn your screwdriver and it comes off quite easily..

I personally use a heavy duty ice pick to puncture the filter, and then turn it. Everything else on the SC is a great design, with the exception of where the filter is located, and the fact that it tends to get stuck.
