Service maintenance
Should I get the recommended service maintenance every 6 months even if I only drive less than 2000 miles in that period ?

Only if your car is still under warranty, or you like wasting money.

I had this same question myself. I keep receiving those Maintenance Reminders via Email & Snail Mail.
No where close to the 1st 5k Service yet since I rarely drive car - Had asked in previous threads if the first two services have any lifespan on them. Meaning- does one still get their 1st & 2nd Oil Change Services free when they hit the mileage, or do you lose them after time? I'll pose the question to my Service Writer too at some point. Last thing I want is to lose them just because I'm not hitting the miles! Yeah I know - Drive the car more Gunny! :) |
I did get the first two service maintenance 6 months and the 12 months because they were free. I am now thinking whether I should keep doing this when my mileage is so low. I did get an extended warranty, so I am not sure if I am still required to have service maintenance every six months even if my mileage is low, or should I just follow the service minder that tells when to service the car.

This note on the OM page-375...ish. The 10000 mile might be a regional thing i guess. |

I’m in the same boat. Had my 2024 NX 350 for over 14 months now and only have 4028 miles on it. Yes, I may be wasting $$ having my car serviced at the Lexus Dealership (Honolulu), but I’m still planning on keeping up with the recommended service schedule.
