Default Dallas Area Brake Shop

Need brakes done on my 95 SC400. Just lost my job, so money is real tight, and don't need to be ripped off by anyone. This will be the first brake job on her, as it only has 56K miles. I know if I go to the dealership they will try to sell me new rotors, calipers and the whole mess. I simply cannot afford to do that. I'm sure most will tell me they can't turn the rotors, etc. etc.

Anyone know a reliable shop that won't try to take me? I'd love to put all the high performance goodies on the brake job that I've read on here, just can't pull it off.

Anyone?? Any idea what a fair price range would be for a somewhat "basic" job?

Thanks.

what exactly do you need done? do you just need to replace the pads or what? If it is something I can do, I will do it for you if you take me out to eat

I've heard that Davenport Motors in Plano is reasonable and honest but I haven't been there yet. I believe that they specialize in Lexus'. You may be able to get away with just a new set of front pads and fresh fluid. I'd stick with OEM pads. I usually change the hardware at the same time that I change the pads but this may not be necessary.

When I took my GS400 to get new brake pads, I took it to Fred's Foreign Car Service, they handle all types of luxury cars and at a good price...I got new brake pads on all four tires for around $150...which I believe is reasonable, plus they seem to be real honest.
