How-To on changing the tranny oil on 98 ES300?

Guys,

I am a newbie here and was wondering if there was a how-to on chaning the tranny oil on my 98 ES300. It has 92K miles. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

You can either put the front end on jack stands or drive up car ramps. Then, take off the 10mm hex drain bolts on the transmission and differential. Fill with new fluid through the transmission dip stick hole from inside the engine bay, this should fill both the transmission and differential, expect around 4 quarts. If this is the first time at 92K, then you should drop the transmission pan and clean the strainer also. Note where the magnets are placed on the inside of the pan, and you will need a new gasket.

Well as LUC said, I would also do the filter. Hell, it is only another 4 to 5 bolts. I would also buy a new filter with gasket for like $35 online for OEM filter.

I do mine every (2) years. Mine took like 3.8 quarts of fluid with diff change. It was a pain to get diff bolt off. They put it in the most stupid spot. One inch lower would have been better.

It is cheap and takes around (1) to do complete drain, drop and re-fill but add another hour for Corona with friends.
