Default 2007 IS250 Alternator replacement

I need to replace the alternator in my 2007 is250. I have everything disconnected but can't get the the bolt that holds the "hidden bracket" to the alternator, it's just too tight. can you just take the nut of the screw post and remove the whole bracket with the alternator? it seems that when I take the nut off there is no more movement with the alternator. Is there some sort of trick to getting the bolt off or removing the alternator with the bracket. Any help would be greatly appreciated, car is in the garage taken apart and i've had about enough.
