LS 400 exhaust leak and vibration.
I have a 2000 ls 400 which has developed an exhaust leak. It sounds like it is near the engine, maybe the exhaust manifold gasket. It is not loud, it sounds like air being squeezed though the gasket. It drives just fine but sounds like a dump truck. Any thoughts or estimates to fix.
The engine also vibrates when accelerating or in neutral. I'm thinking it could be an engine mount. Are these expensive to replace? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes. I drove the LFA.

No way to tell where the exhaust leak is or how much it would cost to fix without actually seeing it and knowing if its the manifold gasket at the head, gasket at the collector, or simply a cracked manifold. The vibration could be a collapsed transmission mount, usually attributed to worn engine mounts.. Dont know how many miles you have on your LS, but these are common to wear out over time and cause vibrations.

I just replaced my exhaust gasket manifold tube i think? lol i dont remember it came out of the back of the manifold to the header it had a hole rusted through and for a experinced mechanic should be like a 6 hour job its all the way in the back of the motor.
