Default ABS engages at near stop, can occur for or rev

Hey yall,

Got a 99 RX300 with a strange problem. Not every time, but just about every time you come to a stop, just before reaching a complete stop the ABS will momentarily engage. It only occurs at the very end of the stop, below 3-4 MPH, and usually occurs going forward, but has happened when backing up and then coming to a stop, again just at the end of the stop. Also seems to happen more frequently when coming to a turning stop, like pulling into a parking place.

The previous owner replaced the front sensors and dust shields, and the rear sensors have been removed & cleaned chasing this problem. Any ideas?

The only time ive run into this problem, it was a problem with the wiring harness. What you really need to do is get the car on a scanner, so you can monitor each speed sensor output and see when the failure happens and which sensor/wire you need to focus on. You are only chasing your tail without the proper tools to diagnose the problem.
