i was at brake masters and they suggested i use penzoil 10w40 high mileage oil since i got 180k on my car. does anyone have any experience using this oil and is it really better? cost $40 for the oil change

unless you are having consumption issues, use synthetic 5w30...

I have 202k on mine and still use 5w30 full synthetic mobil1...

high mileage oils typically just have more additives...

i change mine at every 7500miles.... is it too long??

are you a DIY guy? if so try to do your own oilchange, if i were you i would spend extra few bucks and put full synthetic oil instead of high mileage/synthetic blended oils....

well as of rite now im still usin dino oil. im jus wonderin wat would be best for the car. im in los angeles so the weather doesnt get below 40

I do 5k intervals just cause it's easier to keep up with.... 200k, 205, 210, etc

so long as you aren't racing your car all the time, 7500 is probably just fine...

just use 10w-30 moble 1.

At this point in time you might find some leaks if you switch to synthetic. I used Castrol GTX in my TL for the first 170,000 then switched to the high mileage GTX and have not seen any difference other then price.
