Default 93 GS300 is throwing codes #24 & #31

I am aware of what these codes mean but I would like to know if anyone can help me diagnost the problems and how to fix them..My car has been running very bad and I really need help..

Look like you got a bad air flow meter because code 24 is intake air temp. sensor and code 31 is volume air flow meter circuit malfunction. Both codes relate to air flow meter.

So , if i replace the air flow meter the codes should disappear and my car should stop runniing like crap and start to get decent gas mileage?? I have done just about everything else and I would really like to get my car running the way it used to..thanks for youe help so far..

Replacing air flow meter is just a start point, because your car may have another hiding problem. Such as EGR tube clogge up( every well know for the GS300).

So I am going to replace the air flow meter and I will remove the EGR valve to clean it just in case..When I do these 2 things should my car run good again and it shouldn't throw anymore codes??Thanks for your help ...

The airflow meter can be expensive. If you think it's bad, why don't you try cleaning it by spraying electronic contact cleaner? If you have an aftermarket air filter, sometimes the oil coats the meter and messes it up. Worth a try.

I tried cleaning it and it still is bad..I don't believe in oiled air filters just because of this..I just use the stock filter..The meter new is around $800, but I plan on buying a used one until I have enough money to buy a new one..

it's in the mass air flow sensor...
