Suggested Tranny Fluid for a 93 GS300??

Is Mercon/Dextron III a good oil for our transmissions? Especially one with 221,000 miles on the dash?

Certainly. I beleive the factory specifies DextronII, but that has since been replaced by Dextron 3 and 4. I beleive MD3 now replaces Dextron. You will be fine using any of the Dextron fluids. To be 100% sure, check the dipstick, the recommended fluid is stamped onto the dipstock, usually towards the bottom.
