Nail in the tire
Hi fellow Lexus owners.
Recently I've discovered that I have a nail sitting in my front tire. There is no pressure loss in this tire.
I have three options here:
1. Ignore nail and keep driving
2. Pull the nail out and keep driving if the prssure stays stable
3. Go the shop and fix the tire
I will appreciate any advice on which option to follow

Hey RX you can buy a kit that'll fix it for you, IM not sure if it can be permenant or what but you should check at ur Local Auto store, you should be able to pull the nail out, and Push a rubber piece in the hole and it should fix it

Dump some dishwashing soap in a glass of water. Dump some over the nail. If you blow bubbles, you've penetrated the carcass and will need it plugged. If no bubbles, pull the nail.
Or put the spare on, pull the nail and then see if you have a leak.
Your only bad choice is #1.
Fixing only applies if the sidewall is not involved.

I've heard there are good (safe) and bad ways to fix a tire that has been puncture by a nail.
Be careful you get the safe method done.
Can anyone describe the correct way?

I had a nail in my rear tire and had a slow deflation of the tire. I went to a gas station had them chalk the tire and rim before removing, for balancing. They then patched the tire from the inside and put the tire back on lining the chalk marks up. The tire was fine and my ride felt just as good. All for $13 too. Hope this helps.

Don't Screw Around When It Comes To Tires
Put your spare on, and take the damaged tire to a shop and be done with it. Maybe 15min at the most for a plug, and like mentioned, $10 or less. The shop certainly won't put a plug in (puncture the tire) if you don't need it.
Don't wait until you notice the tire is deflating to take it. Low pressure, more heat, blow-out. Blow-out bad. Its not worth the risk.

Thank you all for good advices.
I do have nail embedded in the tread high spot so I'll try to dump soaped water over the nail and if there is no bubbles I'll pul the nail out.
