Default Royal Purple motor oil REVIEW

I just recently changed the motor oil in my SC and normally i run Mobil 1 or Castrol Syntec. I decided to try Royal Purple this time as ive heard some pretty good reviews about it even though its fricken 7.50 a qt.

Well let me tell my car has NEVER EVER ran this smooth before. Everything just seems like it runs better and even a little peppier. I normally change my oil every 3k miles so im pretty sure my car feeling this way wasn't because i hadn't changed it in a while or anything of that sort.

I highly reccomend this Royal Purple To you clublexus'ers out there and really do think that this oil is superior to Mobil 1.

just an fyi i bought the 20w50 weight.

and i have a 92 sc300 and stock 1jzgte.

I'll add something to this. I have a lot of racers at my track in Mexico use this oil and they always use it in a heavier grade than they required and for some odd reason, when they use a the grade recommended they don't nearly get the same performance that comes from say moving up to a W40 or W50. I don't know if their grades run light for the number or what, similar to a Castrol 0W30 being like a heavy 30 that works like a 40.

Last time I used RP, the car idled quieter, slight gain in mpg and power. Def a proven product. Amsoil is good too!

I use OEM Toyota oil ..from the sounds of it this isint what everyone else goes for. Any reason for this? What else should I try?
...I'm due for an oil change as soon as I get a chance to do it, so any advice is great. Btw 1UZ 124,xxx miles.

I wonder if using Lucas Oil Stabilizer is a cheaper alternative.

where do you get this stuff at, any auto parts store? My oil is over 5k just been putting an oil change off because I wanted to change it myself. I think I'll use Mobil 1 (5w30, I guess?) the first time since I've seen it mentioned a lot in the SC circle and maybe upgrade it later to this Royal Purple or Amsoil if I can find it.
