I have noticed that the temperature of the air comming out of the mid-level air vents is cooler on the driver side than on the passenger side. This happens even though the Heat/AC is set in "AUTO" mode and not dual mode. The dealer says that this is "normal" and all GS's are this way. I think it is a problem that needs to be fixed...has anyone else noticed this?

Let me guess you have a 98 99 . yes that is normal. well not normal but they all do that. You can set the pass temp down buy 2 degrees and it should be ok

airtemp problem
Actually, its a 2000...dealer says the same thing as you did which is its normal....not sure I understand why this is "normal" behavior, but I tried several others on the lot and they all behaved the same way also. They said it had something to do with where the driver sensor is (under the steering column) and your body temperature. Anyway, its anoying to me!
