I just bought the scangauge II for all my cars. After using it for a week now I can honestly say that I love it!

It's much smaller than the previous version thought a bit pricier. It allows me to setup and monitor a bunch of data on the OBDII bus. Things like the intake air temp, timing, coolant temp etc... etc... It won't get you at everything, Eg. fuel trims, but is what I think most general enthusiasts would be looking for. It also functions as a way to check and reset codes and has a trip computer functions built in as well.
Highly recommended.

Hrm.. very interesting!
Hypothetically speaking, if you are able to reset a code, how long will it take before the code shows up again? I gotta reset a code on my friend's car since the CEL is on and its time for smog. lol.

it should just show up again when the car is turned on because its a sensor parameter that is tripping the error most likely. Doesnt matter anyways since the smog tech is gunna pull the codes from the ecu anyways.Originally Posted by GSteg
