Default Toyota oil change

So it was time for my second oil change today so I took her up to the Toyota dealership by my house. They took the car in and were very friendly, half of the employees went out there to look at the car. I received many compliments and was out of there in under 20 minutes. Grand total with tax was $29.52. So if anyone wants to save $100 on your next oil change, go to Toyota.

I don't know how much your Lexus dealer was asking for an oil change, but I had
mine done last week and It was $54, plus I had my DRL's turned off & a car wash

I don't kown about you guys, but the "free" wash at my dealer is a trip through the tunnel wash AKA the swirl-o-matic, forget that.

I've already confirmed with my local Toyota dealer that they can handle all oil changes AND MAINTENANCE. Cost will be a fraction of Lexus.

My main concern would be OEM oil filters installed as an exact match for my car. In my case my LX uses the same one's as the Land Cruiser so I usually have mine done at the Toyota place. What about the LS and GS? Do they use the same ones as Toyota badged cars?

my brother is a machenic at a Toyota dealership around us. From what I know, for $29.52 you aren't getting synthetic oil. You want to use synthetic oil in our car.

The analogy isn't even close to being a fair one.

The owner's manual states "use 91 or higher octane".
The owner's manual does not state "you must use synthetic oil".

Personally, I'll run synthetic. But for 5000 mile change intervals as spec'd in the maintenance supplement, it's certainly not necessary. And brand name 5w30 conventional will easily hold up for 5000 miles... get an oil analysis if you don't believe me.

I know it's regular oil, I'll switch to synthetic probably around 20K or so. I don't really see a reason to do it now.

I highly doubt that they use synthetic oil when you get your oil changed at a Lexus dealer. If they were, they would be telling you up front about that.
