Question Lexus Parts 1994 LS400

Just bought a 94 Lexus LS400 ($6500). Love the car already. I had a 2002 300M which was new when I got it, but the Lexus is in another category for riding comfort. My Lexus only has 90K and has been serviced by Lexus up to now. My mechanic is fantastic and will let me buy parts if I need them for the car. I do need a hood strut and a fuel guage sending unit to get the car up to date for a 90K service. Any suggestions for Lexus parts online. I do live in the NC area.

Thanks

Bill

Bill,

Welcome to the clan.
Highly doubt that there is a problem w your fuel gauge sender. History tells us that your Fuel Gauge Capacitor C-142 has failed. You may want to get over to the LS400 forum & read there. A search should find info on both topics.

Online parts are available from Carson Toyota, Darrel Diller at Sewell in Dallas, & Lexus of Roseville mmolini@lexusofroseville.net.

Thanks Damon for the info. I thought it might be the fuel gage sedning unit because the gage never goes above 1/2 full and is mostly below Empty. The low gas light does work. I'll have my mechanic check this out. I'll read up on the Capacitator C-142
