i dont suggest you ride around with fuel leaking tryto find a street mechanic to come to wherever the car is and finish the job for you, like i said its fairly simple if you know what youre doing. good luck

...and even simpler if you read up on it- there are dozens of threads here by folks who did it themselves- it's messy, but doable. You need "flare" wrenches.

Sha is right - unless you tow it you will have to change it where the car is now. The fuel pump is in the gas tank so the fuel going thru the filter is pressurized- it will be very difficult to seal it up adequately.

i got a mechanic to come out to my house and do it yesterday.....he said it was the hardest fuel filter he has ever done....The filter was rusted to hell, he had to end up cuting the bolts around the filter then taking off the bolts, it took him more than 1.5 hours to take it off and he was actual working the whole time. One of the lines broken in the process of him getting it out so that need to be replaced too but its all fixed now and I'm happy.....I would suggest that anyone should just take there car to a mechanic to get a fuel filter change especially on the SC300 cause its a PITA and all the leaking gas doesnt make it fun at all.
